Wednesday, October 25th –-Experiences in Self-Publishing, Process, Problems, Solutions

by Jeannie on October 15, 2017

Susan Lanning, accompanied by Jerri Lincoln and Greg Picard, will talk about their experiences with publishing their books themselves: why they went that route, how they went about it, what problems they encountered, and how they solved them. Three different perspectives on the same problems and solutions. After they describe their experiences, they will take questions from the audience. Come prepared to ask about your personal self-publishing dilemmas and hopefully find answers.

Susan is the author of several self-published books, including Granite Justice and Ghost Tree, the first two books in her Belle Evans mystery series.  While Jerri has several non-fiction books on yoga to her credit, she is also the author of two children’s books, The Unicorn Whisperer and Cooper’s Smile and two coloring books Do Bears Poop in the Woods? and The Little Unicorn Who Could.  Greg is a former high school and college teacher turned law enforcement ranger with the California Department of Parks and Recreation.  He has coauthored with his daughter Wendy Gorham, the Becker mystery series including the titles Old Bones and Keepers of the Sandbox.

Professional Writers of Prescott invites writers of all ages and levels (from beginner to published) to attend any of their meetings.  The monthly PWP meeting is always on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 6-7:45 p.m. at the Prescott Valley Library, except for the holiday months of November and December.  The meetings are usually held in the third floor Crystal Room of the Prescott Valley Library.  Exit off Glassford Hill Road onto Lakeshore Drive, then turn onto Civic Circle which leads to the parking lot.   Upon entering, turn right to the elevators and go to the third floor. For more information about the meeting or about joining PWP, visit
